As soon as the connection to the system is closed no more error messages appear. This happens with both localhost and remote systems. Google does not find anything about this. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Connect with virt-manager to the local or a remote libvirtd 2. I have spent quite a long time in trying to figure out what goes wrong. The problem is: Kmenuedit saves your changes to the file ~/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu It explicitly lists there every entry in the changed (sub)menu. OpenSUSE's "reduce menu depth"-patch ("plasma-kickoff-newly-collapsing.diff") adds the entry of submenus with only 1 entry to the parent (sub)menu on _runtime_. But since they are of course not listed in that file, they won't get shown.
