Remove espeak package 2. Reopen YaST package manager 3. mark espeak as taboo 4. PDF) out of the Firefox downloadmanager. This freezing takes some minutes, after that everything is running fine again. No Error Messages seen. Under Gnome or eg. LXDE that problem doesnt happend, with same account and Firefox profile. I could see the same problem with Thunderbird attachments too - just didnt test with Gnome and LXDE. So maybe it is a general problem with gtk programms under kde. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start KDE4 with an account on NFS (in my case NFSv4 Krb5) 2. start Firefox 3. Download anything (sometimes u need to download 2 or 3 things before the freezing happens) 4. wait some Minutes then freezing is over. The beta expects the cache to be at /run/users/0/ but this directory is only produced if root has logged in. Hence, cifs.upcall cannot find the cache as it cannot be produced becaue the directory is not present. Previous to 13.1, the cache was created at /tmp which is not a problem, since /tmp always exists. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.cd to a directory which corresponds to an autofs kerberized cifs mount 2. 3. Actual Results: Cannot cd to xyz. The directory does not exist. Expected Results: The directory is mounted. I did a bit more and copy the part of gnome-keyring-daemon, however even getsockopt returns the id 10112, like getuid does. $ ./creds uid=10112, geteuid()=10112 I would say the best way to debug would be patch gnome-keyring-daemon and print the values of uid and getuid on error, but I haven't a time to do that yet.
