The second file had a ISO-Latin character (one byte- L á _ e m), but in the error message there are 2 characters between the 2 adjacent ascii characters. I suspect that when the file is placed in the playlist, clementine stores, not the original pathname, but a converted pathname. Later when it tries to open that pathname it fails. After this error the files are grayed out in the playlist. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create a sound file with a name including non-ascii characters. 2.Load that file to the playlist. This works and clementine shows the file's tags. 3.Try to play the file. Alternatively: 1.Create a directory with a name including non-ascii characters. 2.Place in that directory a sound file, even with an all-ascii name. 3.Try to play the file. Actual Results: There is an error message "No such file", the file is grayed out in the playlist and it doesn't play. Expected Results: It should have played the file. For non-English users a significant part of their music collection will have files with non-ascii names. Frederic: How should we handle this with wicked? Should we use systemd-presets[-branding-openSUSE] or enable it as before with sysconfig? Currently wicked.spec enables itself if the network.service link (is unset) or points to wicked.service or network.service [=syscofig], that is when it migrates from/replaces sysconfig-network. In a normal installation yast2-network network service is changing to the network service as needed / as specified by the user. But on update or additional install of wicked, yast2-network is not involved and when the spec file does not enable itself as above, there would be no network enabled after reboot... Using the default Cirrus emulated driver, changing screen resolution from default by using the KDE "Configure Desktop" tool can result in kaleidoscope effect. Does not switch back to previous resolution after a timeout. Unable to think of a way to troubleshoot this when the display is "crazy." I have experienced this issue using both XFCE and KDE desktops on both 12.2 and 12.3 Host systems (other Desktopa and HostOS not tried). Workaround: Although I have not found a way to fix the problem, the Guest can be made usable by switching the "Video" option in Virtual Machine Manager to "qxl." Can also switch to other video emulators but resolution options for those are limited. 2. Once the video driver has been switched to qxl in Virtual Machine Manager and the changes applied, unable to switch back again to Cirrus. Can switch back and forth for any other emulated video except for this one situation. Click on Video 7. Click on "Model", dropdown will display a number of alternatives to Cirrus 8. Select qxl 9, Boot and verify thw system supports high resolutions. 10. Shutdown. 11. Following steps 5-7 again, select "cirrus" 12. Apply the change, which will return the error described above. Actual Results: 1. Returning resolution to previous after timeout does not work. Interesting this performs properly when resolution change is successful (using qxl video emulation). 2. Unable to switch back from qxl to cirrus video emulation. Expected Results: 1. Expected video resolution change to timeout and return to previous setting. 2. Expected to be able to change from qxl to cirrus video emulation. Am recommending this as "Normal" priority although I found a workaround because at least for me the workaround wasn't immediately obvious, I was just destroying and re-building Guests from scratch as being faster and simpler than attempting to troubleshoot, so could be considered "serious." Neither /var/log/messages nor /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old show any messages (because of freeze/reboot). KDE settings which trigger the bug the easiest: Configure Desktop->Desktop Effects->Advanced - Compositing Type: XRender - Qt Graphics System: Native - Scale Method: Smooth Especially the scale method determines how fast the bug hits, i.e. one needs the fewest resize operations when set to "smooth". Using OpenGL as compositing type delays the bug significantly, however it does hit nevertheless, it only takes longer (more window resizes). Maybe of interest to the KDE team: the above mentioned settings of KDE were set automatically when logging in into 13.1 B1 using an old user (created in 12.3, kwinrc then contained: Backend=OpenGL). So this setting was changed from OpenGL to XRender. This is a major problem especially if one has Wireless drivers that are not fully supported like BCM4313, (broadcom-wl rpm from Packman works excellent, there is a problem with the b43 package with opensuse). For those who were unlucky like me i had to get internet connection from a second computer and download the sources to install on my notebook.
