After installing apache2 and nconf one should be able to access the http://localhost/nconf in order get access to nconf's web-interface. Therefore, in /etc/apache2/conf.d/nagios-nconf.conf an alias /nconf to /srv/www/nconf is specified. However, this alias is not active since the <IfDefine NCONF> directive is not fulfilled. In apache's access log one can see that /srv/www/htdocs/nconf/ is accessed instead of /srv/www/nconf/ Adding APACHE_SERVER_FLAGS to the APACHE_SERVER_FLAGS via Yast->System->"Sysconfig Editor" in order to fulfill <IfDefine NCONF> will make apache crash while starting if the flag SSL is also set. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install apache2 with APACHE_SERVER_FLAGS="SSL" 2. Install nconf 3a. Try to access http://localhost/nconf via browser 3b. Try to enable NCONF as apache server flag Actual Results: Either the error "Object not found!" is shown when using step 3a or apache server will crash at startup when using 3b. Expected Results: nconf's web-interface should be accessed. When disabling apache's flag SSL the flag NCONF can be used without any problems. Other flags like STATUS can be used in combination with NCONF. After uisng Mozilla Thunderbird and somewhat also Firefox processes tend to sleep and won't awake again, possibly that have not been finished. Without seeing the TB window or FF window (visible) and trying to start TB or Firefox again, just reports that the process are running and cannot be opened. I also suspect that if the TB window is open after some use and time (pause) it is sleeping and don't wake up and contact the email IMAP server (GroupWise) Looking into the Gnome System monitor I can i.e see thunderbird sleeping 0 0 6214 do_wait thunderbird-bin sleeping 0 0 6220 futex_wait_queue_me By selecting those processes here and quit them, the application can be started again. In places where they are passed as pointers-to-pointers, the API requires that the pointer value be NULL, e.g. GError *error = NULL; While I was figuring out bnc#757655, I tried starting gnome-shell --replace and it crashed nearly immediately. The problem was a crash in vsprintf on a buffer at address 0x4545454545454545, which is the _MALLOC_PERTURB=69 effect. In nearly every case, libnm correctly initializes GError pointers but there were several places it was not - including the one I hit. It stops with the following error: Oh no! Something failed. A problem has occurred and the system can't recover. All extensions have been disabled as precaution. Log out. Logon to a KDE desktop session works ok however.
