When I click on send, a window will pop open that asks me for my passphrase. The window however pops up behind the current window, and I have click the new dialog in the task bar, because alt+tab is disabled for some reason. I know this is not a really severe bug, but it annoys me every time I write an email, because I have to switch back to the mouse and than back again to the keyboard. When I now connect a digital camera, a popup appears that "You have inserted a medium with digital photos. Choose what application to launch. Select... Which made the machine unsuable for more than 20 minutes (and it's a laptop with an Intel Core2 Duo 2.Ghz, 4GB RAM, and a 7200 rpm hdd) .. There issue was reported here first: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2010-08/msg00406.html /etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-do.desktop does not have an OnlyShowIn=GNOME; or NotShowIn=KDE; element, hence gnome-do gets autostarted by KDE, and gnome-do seems to trigger tracker to start under KDE. Please alter the gnome-do.desktop file so it is not started under KDE. In default installation, even with suitable /etc/pam.d/vlock, vlock still cannot authenticate users (unless run by root) as vlock-main does not have SGID bit and cannot read /etc/shadow. But this seems intentional according to /etc/permissions.* However, these files should set permissions of /usr/sbin/vlock-main rather than /usr/bin/vlock as the latter is a shell script now. ATM the only way to be sure that duplex has been configured correctly is to leave the printer module and print a known 2-sided document and then go back into to module to make any corrections. If a 2 page test print was available from within the printer module this wouldn't be necessary. I think to make sure those line gets added in any case to the user's /etc/cups/cupsd.conf it is best to add it via "sed" magic via RPM post-install script if there is not yet a "RIPCache" line in the user's /etc/cups/cupsd.conf (e.g. when a server admin had already specified his specific RIPCache value). 128 MB is half of the minimum required RAM (256 MB) and a quater of the recommended RAM (512 MB) for a system where openSUSE is to be installed (according to what I found on a openSUSE 11.2 box) so that "RIPCache 128m" should be a safe default which can be set on any user's system. If these mount points are not able to be mounted during installation time they result in a negative amount of space requirements for storage calcualtion. This results in being unable to progress the install. In my case the mount points were not even to any location that the installation may have written to, they were places like /nfs/foobar/dir and /nfs/foobar. Also the reason they would not mount was due to the use of a short label for the hostname (which has yet to be setup in /etc/hosts) to that the 'df' output looks pretty. So the issue here is that the system could ignore mount points that are not required by the installation process (since they are not part of the normal file system paths). It shouldn't mark the storage requirements with a negative figure, this is non-intuative as to the real problem. Which is that it the installation has been unable to mount/verify the NFS server. Up to where I know this is just a crash problem, not a security risk. But since multiple packages could be affected I CC the security-team. IMHO the package in the devel should be fixed, updates published for any affected 11.3 package... and the package in openSUSE:11.3 project be modified. Sometimes, pausing and unpausing a video with MPlayer will cause the video to start skipping. Not all videos will cause this, and not every pause/unpause on a given video will exhibit the problem; it is neverthelss overall quite frequent. The audio codec doesn't seem to matter, but the audio output must be ALSA. Xine and VLC seem to work fine under all circumstances. This only seems to occur with the 11.3 kernel; the 11.2 update kernel (kernel-desktop-2.6.31.12-0.2.1.i586), even under 11.3, works fine. The code path does look a little different between .31 to .34, though I admit I don't know what it means. At the moment, that's all I've figured out. I don't yet know what should be happening on hardware pauses, or why the hw_pointer seems to like to skip around, or even what the consequence of that should be. It displayed a message that I had to install the qsqlite plugin. However, in my repositories I didn't find any package named "qsqlite" plugin. The packages libqt4-sql and libqt4-sql-sqlite were yet installed before! As I didn't understand the situation, I've installed randomly these packages: litqt4-sql-mysql, litqt4-sql-postgresql and litqt4-sql-unixODBC. After doing this, digikam started correctly. So it seems that it needs at least _one_ of these packages to work correctly.
