They come from the gdm gnome-session, which is always started with debugging enabled regardless of the gdm debug settings. This was reported and fixed upstream as: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=672801 Frederic Crozat told me that openSUSE 12.2 suffers from the same problem. It would be great if the fix could be backported to both 12.1 and 12.2.
