The crash is dependent on the chosen icon theme: with some it crashes and with some does not. The last called library before the crash is always libc called from libz. Can it be an issue of the new zlib? Under 11.3 all is OK which suggests the problem is external to KDE3. Traceback is attached. "Voltus V, etc.", so no files within can be selected, no playlist can be made. I had to edit manually a playlist to load the files (it would be simpler to rename the directory, but, besides it is a matter of aesthetics and I have a lot named of that kind, it was in a CD medium). Through a playlist xine can access the directory "Voltus V, &c." and the files within. So, it is not a problem of the name itself, but of the way xine handles the string which contains it, I think. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch xine. 2. Try to open a directory named such as "Voltus V, &c." in order to select a file or produce a playlist. 3. The directory selected, clicked, double-clicked, *-clicked, will not be accessed... Actual Results: The directory named such as "Voltus V, &c." can not be accessed. But mandriva always did! this is very minor, because I know how to make the oprinbter work, IP:9100 akways do the job (ans Windows is not better on this respect), but when doing demos, it's not nice! I had several laser networked printers (kyocera, brother, now HP5M or HP5N, hp c4180 on a print server). Two or three of these are "(recommended)" and the printer usually works best when one of these is chosen to be THE driver. I request that the connection wizard show only the recommended drivers by default with an additional check-box for the option "Show all possible drivers (even non-recommended ones)" that will be turned on as required by advanced users. It might be useful also to have a way to automatically show all matching drivers when there is no recommended driver found with a suitable text warning "No recommended drivers found, showing all possible matches". The auto mount in KDE fails to mount NTFS partitions automatically. The fix to this problem was to add "ntfs" to /etc/filesystems. Seems to happen particularly often with dialog windows and menus (might be related to bug #670605). - When "wobbly windows" is active (which, for whatever reason, is the default), windows are nearly impossible to move or resize using the mouse. - Title bars do not reflect the active/inactive state (see bug #679331). - Window placement is bad; some windows are placed with most of their content outside the screen (see bug #679533). Moreover, when using the flat-file configuration backend (which is the default), compiz crashes every time a setting is modified using simple-ccsm. The compiz version in the X11:Compiz repository (0.9.4-118.1) does *not* fix these problems. Reproducible: Always Compiz has worked without problems on this machine for *years*. Did you really have to include an unstable development version of compiz in 11.4? openSUSE 11.3 worked fine with the stable version 0.8.6.
