The easy fix is to add the following code after the box: <div style="clear:both"></div> but that doesn't look too nice. A better-looking fix would be to move the box upwards, right of the "Diff" headline. I had to manually run dhcpcd to obtain IP address and then synchronize time via NTP. Woke up this morning, hit the power button to bring it back from hibernate, and it worked fine. However, the KDE battery monitor (another bug) still said "10%" despite having been plugged in all night. "acpi" showed 100%. So, I unplugged, and then plugged back in the laptop. Maybe that'll kick the applet, I thought. Nope. I got a system hang, complete with flashing caps lock key. No magic sysrq for you!
