Endeavouring to switch to another terminal (Alt-F8) that was started earlier does not happen. No amount of pressing the Esc, Ctrl-C, q key helps and the only solution is to reset the machine or power off. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start opensuse 11.3 2. Games/Frozen Bubble and play a level or three 3. Escape to exit program 4. Machine greets you with black screen showing a working mouse cursor but you can't see anything to click on. Actual Results: Machine locked up tight. I´ve choosed the rip audio cd option with k3b. It works fine. There is only a little think that could be better: k3b is using /home/user as default directory, when it called for ripping audio cd´s, insted of /home/user/music which is the right directory for that. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install openSUSE12.1 final 2.insert a audio cd in your drive 3.see KDE device manager popup for handling audio cd´s over the system tray 4.choose the option to rip audio cd with k3b 5.See that k3b is launching. 6. See that k3b is pointing on /home/user as destination folder Actual Results: k3b is pointing on home/user as destination for ripping audio cd. Expected Results: It would be better when k3b would point direct on /home/user/musik When it is called specifically for ripping audio cd´s. While connected, knetworkmanager icon says 'Network managing disabled' This is okay. After closing the dialup, knetworkmanager does not regain control. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: I tried this inside a VirtualBox which is hosted by openSUSE 11.4. 1. Install openSUSE 12.1 and all relevant kiwi packages (also kiwi-doc) 2. Do as /usr/share/doc/packages/kiwi/examples/suse-12.1/suse-pxe-client says: $ kiwi -p /usr/share/doc/packages/kiwi/examples/suse-12.1/suse-pxe-client \ --root /tmp/mypxe $ kiwi --create /tmp/mypxe --type pxe -d /tmp/mypxe-result After step 1, I created a VBox snapshot and then tried step 2 over and over. It fails maybe in 50% of all cases. My impression is that it fails when I am quick, i.e., I enter the first command right after booting, and enter the second command immediately after the first command is done. Actual Results: kiwi fails. See attachment "mypxe.log". I did as been told by resize2fs and called e2fsck, but it finishes without errors. Expected Results: kiwi succeeds. If I set "connect automatically" in the "Tigo3G" connection settings, knetworkmanager will start the connection automatically but you won't be able to connect/disconnect manually. This keeps the user from being able to connect to such wireless networks. Many corporate and university networks utilize GTC instead of MSCHAPv2 (which is active directory). If you're using LDAP or eDirectory as a backend, GTC is the only way to enable authentication to those credential stores for things like Cisco ACS. Get asked for wallet key and enter it. 3. The connection process starts and completes. 4. Disconnect from the network and close wallet (or wait for it to close itself). 5. Actual Results: knetworkmanager reconnects sucessfully, so it must have cached the key. But still, it requires to enter the wallet password. Expected Results: knetworkmanager should just reconnect using the cached key and not ask for the wallet password every time. I saw bugs 561019 and 557216, but they describe only the situation when connecting to a network for the first time, which is not so much an annoyance. Afterwards kwallet is quiet and plasmoid will ask me to reenter the password again. After doing that the connection will just not work without any further notice(which I think should at least be communicated to the user). After checking the log it says no credentials provided. I checked the plasmoid settings and default is to store it unencrypted. Changing it to encrypted file didn't work either. Still the log complains about missing password. The only thing that works is to select "prompt for password". For example, I don't see the need for caching the "Received:" headers in the database - and mailinglist posts have lots of them... BTW: my mail accounts are all POP3 - the only exception: I used IMAP for some days after updating from openSUSE 11.4 to 12.1 beta. This 11.4 install was build with Suse Studio. Quite often (but not always) when I login as "tittel" I receive the following error message from pam_mount: pam_mount(mount.c:64): Errors from underlying mount program: pam_mount(mount.c:68): device-mapper: remove ioctl failed: Device or resource busy In the background cryptsetup (or pam_mount) seems to retry the decryption and mounting process, so in the end decryption and mounting is successful. However, it is supposed to work on the first attempt (and it did work on first attempt on openSUSE versions 11.2 and earlier) and I am unsure about possible side-effects of this problem. It seems to me that this problem is not limited to pam_mount, but a general problem of mounting LUKS-partitions with cryptsetup.
