Recently, my KDE workspace comes up really, really slowly. kded runs with a cpu-load of 25% for a couple minutes, it may have to do with some of the applets being loaded (maybe knetworkmanager?). I'm not sure what information is relevant to debug this, so let me know which log files you need. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Turn on computer 2. boot into KDE Actual Results: KDE should come up quickly (couple seconds after boot), it's a pretty new system (dual-core, sufficient memory) Expected Results: KDE comes up, but remains loading stuff from the hard-drive for a few minutes. Some of the applets (kdenetworkmanager4) are not loaded yet. I expected to put an fdi file with the parameters enabling scroll wheel emulationinto /etc/hal/fdi/policy , which I did, but it didn't work. Browsing Bugzilla I discovered that the method for configuring x11 input deevices has been changed. Appending the attached patch to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/11-mouse.conf got the Marble Trackball working perfectly in both USB and PS/2 modes. The only concern is that for the PS/2 version, I'm not certain that the identifier is unique to the Marble Trackball. It seems that two problems were introduced: 1. (from opensuse-security list) - Destroy config Can some one explain the reason behind modifying the /etc/sysconfing/postfix in a such a way that the custom additions that were added to the above mentioned file with POSTFIX_ADD_ have been removed after the update. Thank god I had set MAIL_CREATE_CONFIG="no" so /etc/postfix/main.cf is not altered and the mail system is working. But now I have to start editing allover again. What an update Togan 2. This bug should be fixed by this update. But it seems that it is still present (bug #557239).
