If I read http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/struct/tables.html#adef-width-COLGROUP , correctly, the used column widths of 1*,6* should produce the same as 14%,86%, yet the renderer does not do that. In fact, the Firebug addon shows me that column 1 is 81 pixels and column 2 is 184 pixels, which is not a 1:6 splitup at all. What firefox does is to start with a window that is larger than the screen resolution — and that is what should be changed. First of all I noticed that the commit message mentions "This default is improper as it increases the bootup time for machines that have multiple controllers". However, the code (still) causes all libata modules to be pulled in. So if I have multiple ATA controllers, it would be increasing the bootup time. Second, in recent versions of the kernel, CONFIG_ATA may have been changed from =m to =y[1], so that the test for "-L /sys/module/libata/holders/$procname" in setup-block.sh does not fire anymore, because holders will not be tracked when a piece of code is =y. I open a folder with images via the "Select Folder" widget, which is strange (to put it mildly). Then f-spot displays an "Import" dialog with all picture in a pane on the left and the first image of the list a little bit larger on the right. Unfortunately, this is view-only. At this stage I'd like to exclude some photos from being imported. Procedure. I burn a reiserfs, LUKS encripted, image to DVD using wodim. I eject the DVD. I run: file --dereference -s /dev/dvd which fails: /dev/dvd: writable, no read permission The command: nice cmp --bytes=$(wc -c <$1) /dev/dvd $IMAGE also fails: cmp: /dev/dvd: No medium found After about 8 seconds, gnome pops up a message prompting for the password (see attached capture), and then the above command succeed. The above sequence worked in 11.0, if I added some delays. What I'm reporting here is that GNome should not attempt to mount a device which is listed in fstab and crypttab. If I put a plain DVD, gnome says nothing. But it is encrypted, it asks for the password.
