I see the same address book when opening up Tools / Address Book, and the new addresses show up in this address book. The "Select Address Book" popup with only one choice in it seems unnecessary. What's worse though is that the added addresses do not show up in the Composer; I can neither get address completion to work nor do those addresses show up in the "Select Recipient" popup. The address books to choose from there are "All", "Default Address Book", "Distribution List", "Recent Addresses", and "Selected Recipients", but *not* "Personal Contacts". The only address book that works in "Select Recipient" is "Recent Addresses". I tried to add a new address book called "Default Address Book" to see if addresses in there will show up under in the "Select Recipient" popup; they won't. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Right-click on an email address in a message in kmail, and choose "Add to Address Book". 2. Select the "Personal Contacts" address book. 3. Try to select this address from the address book in a composer window, or try to get the address to auto-complete. Actual Results: The address in "Personal Contacts" will only auto-complete if it is also in "Recent Addresses", but the "Personal Contacts" address book will not be selectable, and addresses from there will not auto-complete. Sometimes, pausing and unpausing a video with MPlayer will cause the video to start skipping. The audio codec doesn't seem to matter, but the audio output must be ALSA. Xine and VLC seem to work fine under all circumstances. I don't yet know what should be happening on hardware pauses, or why the hw_pointer seems to like to skip around, or even what the consequence of that should be. It displayed a message that I had to install the qsqlite plugin. However, in my repositories I didn't find any package named "qsqlite" plugin. The packages libqt4-sql and libqt4-sql-sqlite were yet installed before! As I didn't understand the situation, I've installed randomly these packages: litqt4-sql-mysql, litqt4-sql-postgresql and litqt4-sql-unixODBC. After doing this, digikam started correctly. So it seems that it needs at least _one_ of these packages to work correctly. Then I corrected the time in YaST. The following reboot, the time was wrong of 7 hours (the difference between Italy and US). So I followed some suggestion given to me on IRC: - Set time with date - Sync hwclock to system time - Delete /etc/adjtime When the system is on, both the clocks are fine, but at the following reboot the problem is there again. I then found this post: http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-help-here/install-boot-login/437966-… where the proposed solution is the same as above, but with the addition of running mkinitrd at the end. It worked, however it is not clear to me why I should run mkinitrd to change the time, and I think it is a bug. Hence "rpmbuild --rebuild" may fail due to the $HOME/.bashrc of an arbitrary user. One possible solution is to change the shebang line in /usr/sbin/Check to #!/bin/bash Another solution is to put more intelligence into the code to tell apart bash and sh in /etc/profile.
