I notice the following line of code snprintf (udp_firewall_port, 20, "%s", br->gvalue); but static char udp_firewall_port[10]; so the literal constant 20 looks somewhat optimistic. I notice the following line of code tmpfile_fd = open(tmpfilename, O_RDONLY); but I fail to notice a missing call to close. This looks like a resource leak to me. The bzflag server will not accept connections. Opened firewall UDP port 5154 and started server. Other clients on the LAN could not connect to it. Checked that port was listening using netstat. Tried connecting as client to bzflag server running on windows pc -- that works fine. Tried connecting from both windows and linux to this server -- no connection. Made sure that the firewall was working -- set apache to listen on port 8056 and configured the firewall to open that one, works when trying to connect from another system using that port but not with port 80, which shows that the firewall is working as expected. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install bzflag 2.0.12-1.39 on opensuse 11.1 x86_64 2. Open firewall UDP port 5154. 3. Try to setup a bzflag server and connect to it from another PC on the same LAN. Actual Results: Connection time-out. Expected Results: Connection.
