In addition to the default software packages I added Console tools, GNOME Basic System, C++ Development, Linux Kernel Development and XEN Virtual Machine Host Server. Then the system complained that within /boot there are only 12 MB free space which is not enough. When I remove XEN Virtual Machine Host Server the complaint is gone. This happens for the 32-bit system and the 64-bit system. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Several times I started the installation from fresh. Expected Results: It should be possible to enlarge the boot partition. But when I create a bigger partition before the installation (say 100 MB) then the system refuses to use it. Computer: Dell Dimension 9200 Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, 2.40 GHz (1066 MHz frontside bus) 2 GB main memory Intel ICH8R/DO/DH SATA RAID Controller The computer has only one hard disk which means no real RAID Intel 82566DC Gigabit Network Connection on main board At the end I used partition based setup instead of LVM. But then the system was unable to connect to the internet (but it recognized the hardware). With openSUSE 11.0 that worked without any problems. Rescanning the collection will temporarily show the files again (often putting them under Various Artists rather than their original listing), but they disappear shortly afterwards. The tags of the mp3 may also get corrupted. If a backup of the music folder hasn't been made before doing this, then the damage may be irreversible. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. In the Collection tab, right click on Local Collection and select "Organise Files" 2. Wait while Amarok rebuilds the structure Actual Results: Number of tracks will have reduced; if you look in the physical directory, then the missing track may have been renamed (e.g. had its file extension removed). If you are still able to see it in Amarok, then the tags may have been messed up. I used zypper. However, after installation, no gtk apps worked, many crashed outright. It turns out (after hours) that SuSEconfig had not been run, which calls a bunch of gtk support programs. After this, everything worked fine.
