Now I try to run the installed system (I guess 2nd stage of installation is over now), at the point you normally would expect DE would kick in I believe X crashes and restarts. Visually it looks like this: light black screen + busy mouse cursor dark black screen + no cursor light black screen + busy mouse cursor dark black screen + no cursor light black screen + busy mouse cursor dark black screen + no cursor .. I can switch to console, but all I get is rectangle of 40x40 pixels, colorful, blinking in the middle of the screen. Typical effects of incorrect mode of display. Replacing packages was often very slow. Esp. Gnome packages took rather long. IIRC, there was also an issue with not parsable desktop file. If I wait some minutes before clicking next, i.e. proceed with the installation, YaST aborts. The bug is pretty imple to reproduce, if the logs are still needed I can supply them as soon as bug 536482 is fixed, since on my netbook I can only save the logs to the SD-card and do not have a card-reader on my other computer. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start a network installation with German chosen in the ncurses yast already 2.
