Playback starts, but during first second the video window turns blue. Sound of the video file is played normally. This is common problem in all video applications (tested with VLC 0.9, Kaffeine/KDE3 with xine engine, mplayer). The problem occurs randomly, only in about 50% runs. This problem is only in KDE4, it never happens on the same system in KDE3. Install to HD via KDE LiveCD, boot from HD 2. Start Yast | Software-Repositories 3. Add the "OSS" repo 4. Start Yast | Software-Install Actual result: Step 3: I got "some repositories could not be added due to: signature errors" on first start. Closing SW-Repos and re-opening it made the error go away. Step 4: Even then, SW-Install showed an "repo-oss: Not cached" error on start, and I did not find most software (search for "nano" gives no results) Expected result: No errors, repo gets added. Most things work fine (not the Fn-keys for display brighness, monitor switch etc., but that's a different story). The menu on the kdm Login Screen that lets you choose the session (kde, gnome, failsafe etc.) is NOT visible because it extends below the screen boundaries. The mouse can apparently also move below line 599 and select something, but -- needless to say -- selections from item 3 on are difficult to hit. The word "Session" on which you need to click to open the menu is visible, though.
