After a bit of search I compared the lsmod output before and after hibernating & resuming. I found that ppp_generic and its "decendants" pppox and pppoe were missing. While looking for the reason I tried to remove the module and reinstall it again immediately: rmmod pppoe rmmod pppox rmmod ppp_generic modprobe ppp_generic The last command (modprobe...) simply returns "Killed". If I execute it again or try to load the other two modules, modprobe hangs without any error message. After system reboot everything works fine again. The New ati driver does not work very well with Ati-Radeon X700SE pci-express. As a matter of fact, Open-GL is totaly unuseable. With the previous ati driver i could ignore alsa-driver-kmp, to be present, and have both: Sound and Goodworking 3D-support. But now i have to keep kernel 2.6.22.13-0.3 installed, as due to updating, no possibility for the previous ati driver is an option anymore. Dependencies cannot be solved to fit both needs. Yet there is no easy way supplied to actually do so, e.g. a link to a site on opensuse.org which lists the signatures. This never happened in the beginning of January to me.
