Opening plain text files using kwrite from within konqueror works for a while, then starts to complain (Sorry - Konqueror): KDEinit could not launch 'kwrite'. This can be fixed by a reboot, but then reoccurs. I've seen this behavior with both kate and kwrite. running (as root) from a bash shell: # kwrite /path/to/text.file & Does work for a few days longer. Then kwrite fails to launch from the command shell. I haven't persisted long enough with kate to see if it also fails from the bash shell. The package grub-0.97-82 replaced grub-install. The old grub-install is renamed to grub-install.unsupported "man grub-install" does not show this replacement => Nobody knows why "grub-install /dev/fd0" does not work. I suggest the following fixes: - man page: mention grub-install has been replaced by a suse-script. Use grub-install.unsupported for original grub functionality. - pass options, so call grub-install.unsupported in case options are used. - add this bug information to http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs:Most_Annoying_Bugs_10.3 to avoid missing boot errors. UniChrome Pro IGP (rev 01)" - (reported by lspci). Laptop's BIOS report VN800. Xorg report "no device detected - no screen found" when I use "via" in xorg.conf. There is a better fitting icon: system-installer.
