In that case, it populates the problems list with zypp::getZYpp()->resolver()->problems(). If there is an empty problems list, the resolvePool() call should not return 'false'. I can't start any yast modules any longer. If try to start a module via the graphical Yast2 Control Center, a xmessage dialog appears saying: No such client module sw_single Run 'yast2 -h' for help on usage That's the case with every module. Starting a module from the command line directly, doesn't work either. And the old (ncurses) yast doesn't work, too. So I've got only zypper left to fix my system. It was interpreted as a "" or a 0, but maybe it was a mistake. To suppress this warning assign a defined value to your variables. To help you figure out what was undefined, perl tells you what operation you used the undefined value in. Note, however, that perl optimizes your program and the operation displayed in the warning may not necessarily appear literally in your program. For example, "that $foo" is usually optimized into "that " . $foo, and the warning will refer to the concatenation (.) operator, even though there is no . in your program. I heard that you switched to this enterprise version for stability reason. On the other hand, this enterprise version has big i18n issues. I'm using it in French and, for example, KMail has many, many untranslated strings (which were not present, or properly translated, in the "not enterprise" version). I'm not reporting this as an i18n bug: instead, I'm questioning the choice of the enterprise version. It's nice to ship a more stable version, but you should first make sure that it's ready for it. If it's not localized properly, especially for something like KMail and in a major language like French, then it's not ready at all. I'm also aware that this is not the "official" version shipped with OpenSUSE 10.2.
