The setting gets correctly written to ~/.fonts.conf, but the renderer does not honor it and behaves as if sub-pixel antialiasing was always off. This bug is most annoying on the www.wikipedia.org pages. On every article the heading is printed partly inside the article text below. To reproduce this you only have to install opera (it doesn't care if you take the package from SUSE or Opera itself) and have scim-qtimm installed. If you uninstall scim-qtimm this bug goes away. When I suspend to RAM and then resume, it immediately suspends to RAM again during the resume. Then on the second resume, it actually resumes. Likewise, when I suspend to disk, on resume, it reloads all the pages, then suspends to disk again. On the second resume it actually resumes. I suspect this was caused by recent changes to power saving. On SuSE 10.2 when I suspend and then resume, I'm greeted by a dialog that says the system couldn't suspend due to some kind of media issue and do I want to cancel or continue. If I hit continue, it suspends again. My speculation is that in 10.3 this dialog has been eliminated so it just suspends twice. The print job status switches to "error" after a few seconds. This can be reproduced, also out of other programs with kprinter. Printing one page on one sheet is working fine. The printer is a HP LaserJet 5L (connected via USB->Connexant). Unfortunatelly, the YaST title says 'Initializing Target System', which holds only for the first run. libzypp typically rescans the database after transaction to get consistent state. Virtual Machine can be Xen, VirtualBox, VMware, Qemu, whatever....
