The kernel booted and linuxrc started. When I went to do a network (NFS) install, it presented a list of network devices (without their ethX names) and I chose my wired ethernet device. The response was a "no network device present, you may need to load a module" (or similar, I trust you know the error I mean). I went to the modules menu, loaded the tg3 module with a * next to it (it said the module was already loaded), and returned, getting the same error. After a clean install of Suse 10.0 on an Pentium 3 and on suse 10.3 Alpha 2 64 bit on an amd 64 3500+. When you go to set up the NTP client for the first time and select a public NTP server. When you hit test the screen goes black and then comes back. If you then hit test one more time it does not do this. I can not reproduce it after you hit the initial test. With multiple SATA drives this is a disaster. You think the install went well until the system reboots, then Grub errors and system won't boot. In a dual boot situation you cannot boot into the other operating system either. After finding out where you all had hidden the LILO boot loader and letting it be installed using default setting and not the Grub boot loader the system loaded and rebooted into 10.2. Dual boot work fine also.
