Now if I do modprobe ndiswrapper I get FATAL: Error inserting ndiswrapper (/lib/modules/2.6.16.21-0.25-default/weak-updates/ndiswqrapper.ko): Invalid argument I tried this both with the ndiswrapper and pcmcia setting for the wireless card in Yast. Also 10.2 asks for the password. However after that 10.1 asks for network parameters and 10.2 gives a message that there is no network module loaded. The only thing that needs to be settled is that UI::RunInTerminal builtin now returns integer (return code of system() call) at all times, while this condition from /sbin/yast: if ((function == "online_update" && ret == -42) || ret == `restart_menu) expect it to return symbol under certain circumstances. The place where it is used now is yast2 inst_source only. Reassigning to Lada for evaluating possible risk. When the installer appears to be stalled, and I attempt to reach busybox or view kernel messages or view error console messages with alt-F[1-12], eventually I reach a tty that I cannot leave. The cursor stays at 0,0, and no keystroke combination restores it. Neither will CAD cause reboot. The only option to escape is a power reset. The last happened on the suseconfig panel after choosing to enter no users except root.
