I clicked "Übernehmen" (continue/apply) to install the updates. Then I answered the dialog reminding me of a reboot after the kernel update with "Abbrechen" (cancel). After this, kernel-default was dropped in as auto-dependency :-( I clicked "Abbrechen" and now see the following: - the _patch_ "Test kernel update" is taboo - the patches "perl-Bootloader" and "kernel module packages" are selected for installation - the perl-bootloader package was marked for update ("Aktualisieren") (so far, everything is ok. Now to the big problem...) - some kmp packages (those I have installed) were marked for update - the kernel-default _package_ was marked for update - but I had explicitely rejected it and the _patch_ is marked as taboo. If you choose "Skip", YaST asks, if it should remove the installation source immediately. If you choose here "No" (for not removing) the installation source does not show up anymore. So YaST did remove it. YaST does not remove the source indeed, but as it does not show up, most users may think, that it did so. If you have several sources set up, this might be _very_ annoying, that's why I marked the bug as Critical. This bug is probably related to bug #23598. K3b won't be able to write a DVD+RW in multiple sessions using a growisofs version older than 7.0. Solution: Install a more recent version of growisofs." growisofs seems to be released on 24th of September. Maybe it is too late for now, but you might consider to include it in 10.2 or if testing takes more, provide it as an update later. I suggest to change it. - It is not clear what the difference between Abort and Skip is. There should be a Help button with an explanation popup. (Abort and Skip probably make more sense for a sequence of RPMs but I don't know what they do when just restoring the sources like here. Maybe one of them can even be omitted in such a case.) At this point I never have my cables connected for some reason (e.g. I use them on the old PC which is still working). After no network is found, there is no way to return to the automatic configuration. Namely it only sometimes swaps the 'next' and 'back' buttons. It seems to happen whenever either the old or the new language has no translations. I tried install 10.2 Beta1, after some work on 10.1 with failed alsa and kernel source. The 10.2 beta1 installed sucessfully, first login with working sound system. In this excercise a DNS zone was created for DNS forwarding to the ISP and the values for the entries were taken from a DNS report on the ISP and the values were cut and pasted from this report. Only the serial number is unable to be modified. I do not know where it establishes it serial number from when the correct NS records are input from this report.
