Hi, yes the accent sa and the dectalk express are both serial synths. I'm using a alva 380 and will send you the sus-blinux.conf as soon as i can get it over to this machine with email :)
OK, send me the file. Have you ever used a dosscreenreader with your hardware synts? I ask this, becouse many dosscreenreaders have files with the commandsettings for triggering the hardwaresynt. In Germany most people don't have the dectalk or the accent synth, they're useing apollo1, apollo2 or infovox in most cases, so we don't have such a commandfile :-(. But if yu could send us the files for one of your synts (or even better, for both ;-)) we can try to integrate them in to SuSE-Blinux. This should be no problem..., triggering hardwaresynts is very easy. If you want to know how it works or if you want to try to setup your synts for yourself, take a look in to the following tow files (just use a normal editor to open them): /usr/lib/suse-blinux/spk/apollo2 /usr/lib/suse-blinux/spk/vox700 If you need help, just write a comment into tis list!!!
