[opensuse-autoinstall] autoyast 12.2 factory troubles: cannot find /usr/bin/xsltproc
Trying to set up autoyast for the 12.2 development version, I encountered the error stating autoyast can't find /usr/bin/xsltproc during execution of pre-installation scripts. Using the command line, I found out that xsltproc is nowhere in $PATH. Any ideas on this? I was on vacation for some weeks so I did no 12.2 tests recently :/ Thanks for the report, I'll check that -- ciao, Uwe Gansert SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer Home: http://www.suse.de/~ug - Blog: http://suse.gansert.net listening to: "Almost Violent" by ROTERSAND -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+owner@opensuse.org

This still happens for me in RC1 (boot repo created from DVD). Additionally, if my autoyast is on ftp I get an error "An error occured while fetching the profile: Cannot find URL '....' via protocol FTP. Server returned code 0." yeah, obviously the fix did not make it into RC1 :( But it should be fixed in factory
Additionally, if my autoyast is on ftp I get an error "An error occured while fetching the profile: Cannot find URL '....' via protocol FTP. Server returned code 0."
(Fetching with curl from the same URL works.)
that works fine here. Can you see something in the logs on the server side that explains the error? -- ciao, Uwe Gansert SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer Home: http://www.suse.de/~ug - Blog: http://suse.gansert.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+owner@opensuse.org

I did some further tests. First shut down the installation servers firewall and added ipv6.disable=1 to the pxe "append" line. Didn't help, but I left those settings for the rest of my tests. First I got an installation working using the factory_snapshot repo as installation media (the one which a manual RC1 installation points to) and installing from nfs repo, autoyast.xml on nfs. Strange thing is, currently I don't get the missing xsltproc message anymore using the RC1 CD instead of the repo -- can this be a result of now including the snapshot repo as add-on in the autoyast.xml file? Anyway, having autoyast.xml on ftp still doesn't work. There's nothing in the server log file. Seems like using ftp just stopped after looking for add-on products (see log excerpt below). PS: I'm currently not sure if factory_snapshot is a snapshot of factory or of rc1. Logically it should be RC1, if the CD install points to this repository, but... Ah, I didn't think the log file would be available this early. Logfile below. libpy2ag_curl.so.2 misses a symbol 'ee'. The ftp server logfile has nothing after the add-on stuff. okay, thanks. There were changes in that area: https://github.com/yast/yast-core/commit/1d9f467499c4cc20898336c072d8cab2339... a rebuilded yast2-transfer should work. You can try to download it from here: http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/ You can download the whole inst-sys from there or just the yast2-transfer RPM and use it via dud=http://..../yast2-transfer....rpm I'm wondering a bit why I did not see that here but maybe my inst-sys was a bit newer. okay, thanks. There were changes in that area: https://github.com/yast/yast-core/commit/1d9f467499c4cc20898336c072d8cab2339...
a rebuilded yast2-transfer should work. You can try to download it from here: http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/ You can download the whole inst-sys from there or just the yast2-transfer RPM and use it via dud=http://..../yast2-transfer....rpm

Works with dud="ftp://...yast2-transfer...rpm" from factory. Guess you're using a slightly newer build. Thanks a lot for the help. I've resynced our network installation with newest 12.2 factory and tried the i386 installation again. The issue remains. On 07/17/2012 02:31 PM, Robert Klein wrote:

I assumed Uwe Gansert is using a build only openSUSE team members have access to. The factory snapshot is still build 50, that is, rc1. Factory itself I won't test at the moment; if I understood things, factory doesn't lives on the same branch as 12.2 stuff anymore. I'm still using dud= which is OK for testing. Best regards Robert
