[opensuse-autoinstall] 11.1 autoyast UI: Online Update vs. Online Update Configuration
In yast2 - autoinstallation -software are two entries: - Online Update - Online Update Configuration the upper does not do anything. Bug or feature? -- Mit freundlichen Gruessen, Andreas Vetter -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+help@opensuse.org
During autoinstallation kexec is booting the kernel. This often fails here on different computers and the system hangs at this stage. I have to reset the computer for the installation to continue. Up to now it happened 3 times out of 9 installs. Sometimes it works on the same machine, sometimes not. Any idea what I can do ? 11.1 is very autoinstall unfriendly from my point of view. Everything worked perfectly for me with 10.3, now I face one problem after another. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+help@opensuse.org

use forceboot: http://www.suse.de/~ug/autoyast_doc/configuration.html#CreateProfile.General and please read my changes documentation between 10.3 and 11.1 on http://www.suse.de/~ug It's mentioned there. -- ciao, Uwe Gansert Uwe Gansert, Server Technologies Team SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Business: http://www.suse.de/~ug -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+help@opensuse.org

Thanks. I will lookup the documention more carefully next time before starting to complain. If I sounded unfriendly I apologize. autoyast is a great feature, I use it for a long time now. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+help@opensuse.org

any reason why you did not take part of the multiple month long public beta phase if you knew that you want to switch to 11.1? -- ciao, Uwe Gansert Uwe Gansert, Server Technologies Team SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Business: http://www.suse.de/~ug -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+help@opensuse.org
