Is there some official documentation about the changes in the control-files from 8.2 to 9.0? I've heard some rumors that they aren't compatible, but I haven't found any official statement (or a reason for this changes) yet. Somebody in here, who know more about it? -Stefan -----Original Message----- From: Holger Hellmuth [mailto:hellmuth@ira.uka.de] Sent: 12. december 2003 17:14 To: suse-autoinstall Subject: Re: [suse-autoinstall] Backward compatibility in control files Fermín Galán wrote:
Are they backward compatible (indeed, a control file for SuSE 8.1 works as a control file for SuSE 8.2 and SuSE 9.0?
No. My old 8.1 autoinst.xml didn't work with 9.0. As an example: <keyboard>german</keyboard> became <keyboard> <keymap>german</keymap> </keyboard> Holger. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: suse-autoinstall-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands, e-mail: suse-autoinstall-help@suse.com
