So I wonder if we could provide official bootsplash themes that work with something like 800x600@256 colours (0x303). Alongside the higher quality ones of course.
Hi Martin, Just making sure I'm understanding your question - are you requesting another set of bootsplash themes that would work well on 8 bit displays to avoid color banding of our usually textured theme? To be honest I'd rather drop all the required resolutions than add yet another set of themes. Personally I'd like to avoid it. I'm fine in creating a more simplistic boot sequence instead, but a large community usually doesn't appreciate good clean design and prefers bling :/ And for opensuse we're largely dealing with home user enthusiasts, the exact kind of people who appreciate glossy finish, wild saturated colors etc... Does the current theme look really bad on 8bit? I need to try. cheers -- -[http://jimmac.musichall.cz]- -[even a stopped clock gives a right time twice a day]- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org
