Hi,
I'm having issues with getting a display manager to start automatically on either my Pandaboard or Chromebook. Checking xdm.errors on boot up I have the following:
xdm info (pid 815): Starting xdm info (pid 815): Starting X server on :0

I can get to whichever display manager I choose by running 'init 5' after boot up manually, but it's a PITA having to log in as root and then re-enter init 5. I've checked my inittab and it is set to init 5, and sysconfig has lightdm set as the DM but I have tried with gdm and xdm, all with the same issue. Can someone advise on how to fix this?
Using the new 12.2 XFCE based rootfs, this now works as expected on my Chromebook. Not entirely sure why there was the issue, but as it works as expected I'm happy. -- Andrew Wafaa IRC: FunkyPenguin GPG: 0x3A36312F -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org
