Hi to all
I'll come to FOSDEM, and I would like to bring with me my STE Snowball, with openSUSE onboard.
I tought that was a very good idea, and I begun to prepare a demo when I saw that the board have 2 problem
Only 2? That's not bad, I had a whole heap more ;)
1) The HDMI works, but seems to have some problem, and I could solve because I have not a HDMI screen actually
You got further than me, I never managed to get HDMI to work.
2) The CVBS works but have only one resoltuion that is too much for my old TV ( 720x576 )
We may have a monitor there, I'm not sure on what equipment is going to make it. So this may or may not be an issue.
3) The OTG seems not working (may be that I have this problem http://www.igloocommunity.org/support/Work-around_for_USB-Host_issue )
More than likely you are hitting this issue. I actually hit this issue regardless of OS I use.
4) WiFi modules doesn't work, but may be is a "software isuee". Seems strange, but may be solvable with hcitools, but actually this tool is not in my rootfs (openSUSE 12.2 + XFCE ).
You are most likely missing the binary drivers for WiFi/Bluetooth/GPS/etc. You can download them via the Igloo Community site - may take a bit of digging to get to them, and you'll need to agree to the EULA.
For that reason I don't know if is still a good idea to bring my Snowball board at FOSDEM. What do you think about this? Advice? It's better to bring the board anyway, or to live this at home?
I'm afraid I can't say whether to bring it or not, my gut is to say yes and see if anything can be fixed whilst there. Problem is I will be in talks most of Saturday, with only Sunday to do any hacking.
Anyway I'll try to solve some of this bug tomorrow.
Good luck!
Sorry for question thanks in advance bye Alexjan.
