As written earlier, kate could be an alternative, as well as konqueror as light-weight browser and file manager. Is there a certain reason why for a Qt-based desktop the preference is still for GTK applications? Not that they are 'bad', but I guess this causes additional overhead of libraries on a comparable small device like a Raspi. Thanks for explaining....
