Uyuni 2024.12 is released!

Hello folks, We are happy to announce the availability of Uyuni 2024.12! Most openSUSE mirrors should already have 2024.12, but if you do not see it yet, wait a few hours until your local openSUSE mirror is synced. At https://www.uyuni-project.org/pages/stable-version.html you will find all the resources you need to start working with Uyuni 2024.12, including the release notes, documentation, requirements and setup instructions. Please remember this release of Uyuni 2024.12 is ONLY available as containers (no more RPM releases since 2024.08). Those containers are based on openSUSE Leap 15.6, and are to be deployed on top of an openSUSE Leap Micro 5.5. Some of the highlights for this release include: - New Saline container - uyuni-tools available for Fedora 40 and 41 Please refer to the release notes for the full details: https://www.uyuni-project.org/pages/stable-version.html#releasenotes Due to some technical issues, uyuni-tools could not be built for Debian 12 for Uyuni 2024.12. Moreover, uyuni-tools could not be published for Ubuntu 24.04 (despite being properly built). We hope to fix the issue for the next Uyuni release. Remember that Uyuni follows a rolling release planning, so the next version will contain bugfixes for this one and any new features. There will be no maintenance of 2024.12.
