Due to some well deserved holiday time,
we are cancelling the July session of the Community Hours, planned for today.
Feel free to reach out to us in Gitter or GitHub discussions for any

Hello folks,
We are happy to announce the availability of Uyuni 2024.07!
Most openSUSE mirrors should already have 2024.07,
but if you do not see it yet, wait a few hours until your local
openSUSE mirror is synced.
At https://www.uyuni-project.org/pages/stable-version.html you will find all
the resources you need to start working with Uyuni 2024.07, including the
release notes, documentation, requirements and setup instructions.
Please remember that future release of Uyuni 2024.09 will only be available
as containers (no more RPM release from this point of time onwards).
Having heard the community, we decided to delay this step till a couple of
months later.
Some of the highlights for this release include:
- New products enabled:
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP6 Family
- SUSE Linux Micro 6.0
- openSUSE Leap 15.6
- mgr-bootstrap tool removed from the Proxy
- PostgreSQL 16 (only for the containerized version)
- Changed behaviour of repo-sync
Please refer to the release notes for the full details and don't forget to also
check the "Known issues" section:
https://www.uyuni-project.org/pages/stable-version.html#releasenotes
Remember that Uyuni follows a rolling release planning, so the next version
will contain bugfixes for this one and any new features. There will be
no maintenance of 2024.07.
As always, we hope you will enjoy this new Uyuni version and we invite
everyone to send us your feedback [1] and of course your patches, if
you can contribute.
