Folks: Is there an update CD for 9.1? One of my systems (Tyan S2880 based dual 246) is freezing hard when yast fires up. To even get yast to fire up, I have to force a manual install, as the install process locks up on floppy.1: get nvram_ (or at least, that is the last thing on the console). By going the manual route, at least I can get yast going, before it locks. I have tried the safe and noacpi methods. I have tried direct DVD installs and network installs. No luck. 9.0 was also hard to get onto the machine, as a direct DVD install did not work, but a manual->nfs install did. If there is no 9.1 update CD (for AMD64), how soon will 9.2 be available to install? We need 9.1 or better for a project we are working on, and we need to be done with the project around the first week of November. Thanks. Joe -- Joe Landman http://www.scalableinformatics.com

Not officially by SUSE AFAIK, but I can sell you one if you want... Alternatively, make your own, the SDB even says how to. Volker -- Volker Kuhlmann is possibly list0570 with the domain in header http://volker.dnsalias.net/ Please do not CC list postings to me.

Forget 9.2, you'll be lucky to see an official release by then, never mind have it delivered to your door... Unfortunatetly, I've no expirience with 64 bit, so I can't help you... But I did have quite a bit of problems with sata drives... Finally, I installed on ATA drives did updates, and then used the satas for other partitions... Jerry
Thanks.
