I have been messing around with the install of SuSe AMD64 and can not get this thing to work at all. I had to use the switch "idle=poll" and that got the install program to stop hanging at the hardware detect section. Now the problem that I have come across is that when ever I try to load the drivers for my Adaptec 2110S SCSI RAID controller the system crashes with a really long error message. I was wondering if anyone has found a fix for this. I have tried all sorts of things to get this to work but have had no success as of yet. Please advice on this issue. Thanks.
