I had the same problem and given the same suggestion to pick an alternate server. Also, no alternates were listed. I had to go to one of my SuSE 8.2 servers to get a list from there. I have since found them also listed on the SuSE site, but wish they had been included in the drop down menu. In the end, I went to online update in Yast and changed Install source to "user defined location" then I set location to "ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse".
