Hello I've spent two days wrestling, googling and asking but cannot get the onboard Gigabit LAN (3Com 3C940) to work on this board. Can anyone lend me a hand? I've had to put a cheap PCI card to get out to the world. I know that the onboard sound is a lost cause (?) but it would be sad to lose two PCI slots.
Did you try to load the included sk98lin driver by hand?
modprobe sk98lin
You can check in the kernel log if the driver detected the card.

Yes I did. /proc/modprobe | grep sk98 = sk98lin 177124 0 - Live 0xffffffffa01e3000 lsmod | grep sk98 = sk98lin 177124 0 Can't get YaST see it. I enabled the onboard LAN in the BIOS as well. uname -a = Linux lbox 2.6.5-7.111-default #1 Wed Oct 13 15:45:13 UTC 2004 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux I've seen that the SuSE site lists this board as "partially supported". However linuxtested.com said it works as long as you get the driver elsewhere.
