I don't suceed with smbmount.
What is you error message?
The command "mount -t smbfs //osiris/scsi-raid /S -o username=cfd" does not give an error message. However, with "df" I get
Try adding users to your mount options, as well as rw if that is what you want. Also, what is the permissions on /S?
" Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on /dev/sda2 77085512 4259256 72826256 6% / tmpfs 1770980 12 1770968 1% /dev/shm df: `/S': Permission denied "
Currently, I have SuSE 9.3 on an opteron. The same "mount" works on an older PC running with SuSE 9.0.
Might be a difference in samba versions. It could be something that shouldn't have worked that was finally fixed as well.
What can I do?
You could try /etc/samba/smbfstab.
Is it a file in addition to /etc/fstab? Yes, but serves the same purpose for samba shares. -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Registered Linux user 231871
