yeah, maybe you did install the very latest nvidia driver with it, while before you had an older version, such as the one YOU did install for you?
yes, I did in process install the newest nvidia driver, however that did not fix the problem when using suse provided kernel, only with the new kernel I compiled
What do you mean "in process install" ?
YOU did not install the very latest nvidia driver for me, i had to do it manually. And it works fine with SuSE kotd kernels (2.6.8...) which I'm running currently.
Sorry for the unclear language. I meant, that while in process of installing a new non-suse kernel, I also installed the newest nvidia driver (manually).
Also, when talking about the screen sync problem still persisting on SuSE provided kernel, I was not referring to kotd, rather the latest YOU kernel (2.6.5-7.108).
