Normally, when a USB device is plugged in, you will see an entry in
/var/log/messages that the system sees the device being plugged in, and
installed as a scsi device (normally the first one available - /dev/sda,
/dev/sdb, etc. )

This system is a new load of SuSE 9.2, but I was able to do the same thing
under SuSE 9.0...

Dave,
My shortcut has always been to go to /dev/scsi/ and start looking around.
The
device is usually there somewhere..
Just checked and there is nothing in /dev/scsi I checked the list and back on Nov 7th there was someone stating usb.c had to be patched. Does anyone have a system that can mount or automount a usb flash drive? Thanks in advance. -- Check the List-Unsubscribe header to unsubscribe For additional commands, email: suse-amd64-help@suse.com
