Hello 13.1 being fresh, it's probably the best time to ask what kind of goodies could be usefull. What people ask for? notice that I have no special info on the openSUSE desk side, but just did a lot of installs :-). * DVD could be a must, but in my region (France) most people have good net connections, so as soon as the install is done all goes through the net. However written dvd are not very reliable and usb flash disks too expensive to be used as a gift. only good for the installer personal use. * anyway, dvd jacquets could be good. Full covers are difficult to print. DVD stickers, made just to fit on Avery blank labels could be printed locally and sticked on blank dvd jacquets (It's recommanded *not* to stick anything on burned dvd's) * I still have a lot of very small stickers (the ones that still say "sponsored by Novell"). This is very cheap and have an enormous success. In the mean time it's an excellent advertisement sticked on the computer. * I made on my own money a (english word?) "banderolle". See it on the background there: http://dodin.info/piwigo/picture.php?/100833-IMG_20131123_124033-30141/searc... it was only 20 euros, including shipping (from Lebanon to France!!). But as you see it's difficult to setup when you don't have wiring. What could be at the same time cheap and usefull could be some kind of fanion (http://www.fanions.eu/fanioane/fanioane-mixte/fanioane-mixte-03.jpg) with the support. with some artwork this could even be made of strong paper * I could make use of bussiness cards. Here (France) one can have 250 for free (in fact just for the shipping price - very small advertisement on the back face). I wait for yours ideas then. Notice that most of this do not need to be free. Last saturday I spend 15,- euros to park my car near the install fest (not counting the gazoline), I could spend the same for goodies. I'm nearly sure we can find a dealer from lebanon or Honk-Hong that could sell ambassador kits for very cheap. so this could be free for openSUSE, just needing some effort of the artwork team thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+owner@opensuse.org
