I think that is a pretty good idea, basically to achieve a better distribution time. Only two questions:
1. does the local distributor have to pay for a very large custom from Novell? 2. does the local distributor take care about local shipping charges too? For example, in Chile we have at least 10 nodes for event twice a year. Sending a promoDVD box with 100 copies to every node will cost about USD8 per box. So, it will be USD160 per year.
It might be that you have to pay for a large customs - we try to avoid this but it might happen. Also, I have no way to reimburse that . I should have stated this indeed, will update my copy of the text for the future. Btw I would send several 100s out from the US or Germany, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Program Manager openSUSE, aj@{novell.com,opensuse.org} Twitter: jaegerandi | Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+help@opensuse.org
