A warm welcome to Jörg as German ambassador. Below his introduction, Andreas ---------- Forwarded Message ----------
* What have you done already for openSUSE? I am currently an moderator at the german suse forum and help testing in the LXDE sector.
* What are your plans for promoting openSUSE? Please tell us what you want to do the next 6 months. I wanne join the local discussion groups (Saaland / Saar-Lor-Lux area) and trying to show the advantages of openSUSE. Also i wanne try to be at some meetings in the area, and show up at Fosdem. Also i will promote openSUSE on server systems a bit more, showing and blogging about server ready repositorys and the "yast-way" of configuring server systems.
* Are you ready to start promoting openSUSE? Yes, i think so.
* What do you think is the best kept secret of openSUSE? For me, it is the power of yast, to configure your system on every level. You can easily add printers and scanners but in its deep you can also setup ldap servers and nfs exports, you can also use it in gtk and console way, very nice :-) The other part is the amount of repositories which satisfy any need starting at the desktop but could be spread as far as posible. Regarding LAMP servers and others.
* Why do you love to do this? Cause i love opensuse. My first time experience was Suse 6.0 and i always loved the Nürnberg-Linux. So i would like to tell people why i use it and why they could use it too.
* How did you start with with Linux/openSUSE? What is your level of experience? I started as a user of linux with redhat 5.1 and switched directly to suse 6.0 when a friend burned me the images :-) Since that ther were many distributions i used but i always switched back to suse, taking a look what have changed. Since 10.3 its my only distribution I use. So the rest, i am an linux systemadministrator at an domain registrar. Working with about 140 Linux Systems with two different linux systems.
