Have you tried running alsamixer (from the command line in terminal)?

Yes, mine only shows the default pcm...

However, unless something very drastic has happened with pulseaudio
running alsamixer may not give you all the available channels which are
'adjustable'. If you don't see all the available channels (this depends
on your audio card/chip) then UNINSTALL pulseaudio and then you will see
all the channels.

For pulseaudio have you installed pavucontrol (which controls pa)?

Trying that now... will get back.
