That's using the appropriate entry in fstab, but it also works using the
tools in modern desktops. I like manual mounting instead.

The files there are owned by root, because that is not a backup media.

Another example:

cer@Telcontar:~> mount /mnt/dvd
cer@Telcontar:~> ls -l /mnt/dvd
