Hi,

in my ancient laptop, recently installed with openSUSE 12.3 32 bits, I see entries like this in the log every 15 minutes:

2013-09-08T01:00:01.879874+02:00 AmonLanc /usr/sbin/cron[5700]:

However, I do not see them in my desktop machine, running 12.3 64 bit. I'm curious why the difference, something must be configured differently - but what? It is not "/etc/sysconfig/cron".

Could it be "/etc/pam.d/common-session"? They are different.

Desktop:

session required pam_limits.so
session required pam_unix2.so
session optional pam_apparmor.so
session optional pam_umask.so
session optional pam_systemd.so
session optional pam_gnome_keyring.so auto_start
only_if=gdm,gdm-password,lxdm,lightdm

laptop:

session required pam_limits.so
session required pam_unix.so try_first_pass <=========
session optional pam_apparmor.so
session optional pam_umask.so
session optional pam_systemd.so
session optional pam_gnome_keyring.so auto_start
only_if=gdm,gdm-password,lxdm,lightdm
session optional pam_env.so <=========

You see, I do not like logs "too talkative". They distract one from the important things.
