SuperMicro BIOS are generally buggy. ACPI is an area that they usually have
issues with. The general opinion is that if you experience a problem, be sure
to get the latest BIOS. The board in question is only a couple months old. I
have not seen a new BIOS. I have run the intel hardware tests (at one point it
was part of the openSUSE install) on various boards and there are always many
complaints. It makes you wonder if SuperMicro run any similat tests.
