can one inspect status/config?

Good question. I have not seen the list, but you can query if your machine is included, though. Like this:

Telcontar:~ # s2ram --test --identify
Machine unknown
This machine can be identified by:
sys_vendor = "MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO.,LTD"
sys_product = "MS-7516"
sys_version = "1.0"
bios_version = "V1.5"
Telcontar:~ #


Mine is not listed. XFCE allows to suspend and hibernate (suspend crashes, IIRC). I would like to know how to add/remove locally my machine.
