It does work possibly on most situations on runlevel 5, yes. However, it has
potential for
conflict, and thus it must never be started in runlevel 5 by default (or target
graphical or
whatever). Meaning it is the administrator of each system who must say if it
does work in
level 5, but the distribution must assume it doesn't.
