I fail to see how that bears any relation to whether you can do your work.

My work requires me to use my computer at various locations and occasionally in hotels. When on site, I am expected to configure my computer to use a local printer and also be able to use the WiFi in the hotel or elsewhere. If I cannot do both of these, I am unable to properly do the work I have been hired to do. This is with a computer provided by the company I'm doing the work for and I do not have admin or root access. With openSUSE 12.1, I would not be able to use WiFi or printers as described above.
